Samsung Galaxy SIII issue with Android 1.0 release: works temporarily

Reported by: nrconley Owned by:
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Android Version: 1.0
Keywords: temporary flight Cc:

Description

Unlike the other open ticket for the Galaxy S3, I get everything to work. But after a few flights, the attention/meditation thresholds are crossed, but the dongle does not light up and the chopper is not activated.

I can confirm that this is not due to a low or dead battery on the dongle (or chopper). The volume is all the way up. Disconnecting and reconnecting sometimes addresses the issue, albeit temporarily.

Best,
Nick

Thanks for the feedback.

Have you by any chance tried the developer preview release version 1.1.1?

We would be interested to know if this fixes the problem for you. For that matter if it does not we can attempt to investigate further before the final public release of that update.

Received a message from a user describing a similar issue:

Hi
I've been working on my helicopter for a few weeks now and can't seem to make it run. It will run for a few seconds max and then stop. I've tried it with multiple devices and it has only worked on a Samsung galaxy iii. Are there any advice you can offer to get better results?

Frustrated and confused,

E*

Are you trying version 1.0 from the Google Play store, or have you had a chance to try the developer preview release (version 1.1.1.) downloaded directly from our site? There's a link above in comment:1

Seeing that you have a HTC One X as well, you might want to try a special release we made for the international version of the HTC One X (which granted has slightly different internals than the AT&T model:

FWIW, I believe the 1.1.1 version should support the One X as well, if the "Flip" setting is checked.

We have had another user report their Samsung Galaxy III device is 100% working with the latest release of Puzzlebox Orbit for Android (version 1.4.3). Can you please test with this version and report back the results?

If you have any issues please take a moment to quickly send a message using the "Support" tab in our interface. It will collect data about your phone so we can investigate any differences between your version of the Galaxy 3 and theirs.

This information is non-identifying and the complete contents are gathered and recorded on our wiki page OrbitDeviceCompatibility (we do not post your name or email address).
