Connecting Bluetooth to LEGO Mindstorms NXT for Windows

  1. Select the Bluetooth icon from the Windows system tray

  • If your Windows installation is using the Toshiba Bluetooth stack (as is distributed by NeuroSky with their MindSet EEG headset), you will want to follow the ConnectingToshibaBluetoothForWindows document if your screen looks like this:

  1. The Bluetooth Devices window will appear. Click the "Add" button. Make certain the LEGO Mindstorms NXT devices is powered on and ready to accept Bluetooth connections (see ConnectingToLEGOMindstorms). Click the "My device is set up and ready to be found" checkbox and click the "Next" button

  1. The LEGO Mindstorms NXT device should appear. Select it from the list and click the "Next" button

  1. Select "Let me choose my own passkey" and use the pin selected in the ConnectingToLEGOMindstorms step. Click the "Next" button to continue

  1. When the wizard is complete click the "Finish" button

  1. Pay attention to the COM port set for the Outgoing connection to the LEGO Mindstorms NXT device (in this example COM7)
